This October 26 through 28, I will be selling my jewelry at the first weekend show in almost two years! I was honored to be invited to show at the Smithsonian’s Craft 2 Wear show at the Building Museum in late October. It’s all wearables, so I will only have my jewelry there, but please come by and say hello and see what I’ve been up to! I hope to post images here of a new series of geometric necklaces. I also plan to add color to my inventory again – mostly charcoal (I know – a color??) and red – in addition to the usual natural flax and abaca colors.
Hope to see you there!!

I saw last year that you and your jewelry would be at the Smithsonian show. What was that like? I know there is a lot of competition from artists better than me, but I am going to try this year with my “green” jewelry. Your jewelry is beautiful, and maybe someday I will see in person.
Good luck with the Smithsonian! It is a lovely show. Usually well attended by people who are willing to buy and know what they are looking at. You never know about who will get it – “better than me” is a very relative term and the jury varies wildly from year to year. They accept up to 30% new exhibitors every year – far more than many other high-end shows – so it’s always worth a try. Getting in a second time (or third, fourth, etc.) is much harder. You will note that I was only in that one time…so far!
